Backup Generator

Sevice, utility, sensor wire to generator, generator-to-utility wires
First since 90% of the time generator failure is due to fuel failure the gas line was sprayed with cleaner to check for leak bubbles
There were none so the panel was opened and voltage was checked then one of the fuses were removed with a buss fuse puller to imitate power loss. The engine cranked in exercise (once a week to prevent damage) we were there due to the fact that it was placed in exercise and it didn't crank.
 

(beside the red is a solenoid switch when powerloss is detected the magnetic coil energizes and the switch transfers the incoming service line to the generator line so that power is sent to utility of the home.)

Generator 









Generator contains a stationary field. When energized the windings  create a magnetic field and the rotor rotates through the magnetic waves of flux and thus transferring electric generation to home
